The End of The Beginning
Wow! They're down for the count folks. The count-DOWN to the next show. I need to get my act in gear and find a new spot to hang my stuff! It was a really successful first show, and I'm so grateful to everyone who helped out, especially Lady M and everyone who works there. Oh, and a very big thanks to those who enjoyed and brought home some of my paintings!

Hold your horses!
I've sold some paintings, folks! I'm slightly flabbergasted by this, but positively overjoyed! Nuthatch, Tastes Like Almonds, and the two tiny guys have permanent homes now. Today I'm starting work on some more... I'm thinking oils this time, but I'm slightly afraid. Wish me luck :)

Hawking my Stuff

And so it begins!
The paintings have been hung (with great success). Please go check them out! There'll be more to come- I can't afford to get lazy. I'm thinking of doing a Big Lebowski portrait series, but beyond that, I want to do a ton of portraits of friends and acquaintances. Since I'm a starving artist I can't really offer any compensation for the use of your face, but if you want to let me photograph you for reference, I'd be very appreciative!

This means business!
Some new paintings before the show!
So the time has almost come: Paintings are being hung at Lady M tomorrow! It's so exciting that I'm almost unable to do anything productive or useful today, but I thought it would be a good time to do a bit of an update. Most of these paintings are brand new acrylics on canvas, but the owls, octopus, and the couple in animal skins are a bit older. They're all going up for sale over February and March. If you get the chance, go check them out. There will also be a bunch great work up by Rachelle Reimer. Don't miss it :) I've never really thought I'd get the opportunity to actually show my work off to the masses, so I'm nervous and thrilled at the same time. Please, wish me luck!
